Webelos,
this is your day to find out what the Order of the Arrow
(OA) is all about and learn about the great opportunities
the OA brings to Occoneechee Lodge! This one-day event will
take place at Camp Durant in the Scout Craft Shelter. The
day begins at 9:00 AM and ends at 4:00 PM. Lunch will be
provided. Please park in the admin parking area and walk
to the Scout Craft Shelter; no cars are allowed in Camp.
The event is limited to the first 250 participants, so please

Powwow at the Dance Arbor
Join
the Occoneechee Lodge dancers in the afternoon for the Annual
Lodge Spring Powwow!
The Dance Arbor Trading Post will be selling cold drinks
and Snicker candy bars during our Annual Lodge Spring Powwow.
When
and Where:
The program will be revealed at the 2006 Council Cub-o-ree
sign up will begin then. The number of people that may attend
will be limited to the first 250 Webelos (includes adults)
that sign up. On Saturday, March 17, 2007 of Spring Powwow
the family will park in the parking lot to prevent any traffic
issues.
Why:
By doing this we are showing the Webelos what the OA is
about, and what a great program it is. This is done to encourage
them to continue on to the Boy Scouts; and join the OA when
they become eligible. This meets the Order of the Arrow
New Strategic Plan to show more involvement in the Cub Scouts/Webelos
program. This may also increase the retention of Webelos
bridging over into Boy Scouts.
